How many of you have used carpet cleaners before, only to find you've ended up with carpets worse than they were? Quite a lot of you we're sure. That's why in 1999 we started up the Advantage Group, to raise the bar of the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry. Striving for industry excellence and actively encouraging all members to seek available qualifications, indeed demanding Cert II in Asset Maintenance (PRM20604) as a minimum entrance requirement, the Group has gained industry and market acknowledgement both locally and interstate and as such has been recognised by ‘Choice’ magazine as Western Australia’s only Group of qualified carpet maintenance technicians as well as being recommended by the Carpet Cleaning Consumers Guide.
The Group has now commenced actively recruiting carpet cleaners within the industry and is proactively assisting them with achieving relevant qualifications with a view to increasing the standards of carpet cleaners available to consumers in WA. The Advantage Group recognises carpet cleaning as a trade skill, which can only be achieved by study as well practical and theoretical examination. Through the Advantage Group you will find skilled technicians who have been trained in a variety of skilled disciplines such as specialty stain removal, tile & grout cleaning, leather cleaning, odour control, water damage mitigation, carpet repair, etc, etc. Whatever the problem you have, someone in the Group will be able to assist you in it.
Together with their National Police Clearances, compliance to Occupational Health & Safety practices including participating in environmental programs related to our industry (such as the Green Stamp initiative/Green Business Skills certification), the Advantage Group Carpet Cleaners (Inc) can now claim to be the only group of trained technicians in their industry in a sea of un-qualified carpet cleaners.
The AGCC is currently recruiting uncertified carpet cleaners to the group and with the AGCC mentoring program is supporting to help guide carpet cleaners along the path to obtaining qualified training.
